As the academic year draws to a close, we reflect on a remarkable inaugural year for the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

We concluded UHCL’s 50th anniversary with a sold-out Gala and Alumni Celebration, followed by the Alumni Association’s exciting return to the UHCL Chili Cook-Off. Our Annual Golf Tournament continues to expand, raising essential funds for the Alumni Association Endowment Scholarship.

The comprehensive Glynn S. Lunney Papers are now open at UHCL's Alfred R. Neumann Library Archives & Special Collections! 📚 This rare collection, generously donated by Lunney's family, offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at a NASA icon.

Lunney’s pivotal leadership ranged from serving as flight director for historic missions like Apollo 11 and the Apollo 13 rescue, to leading the Space Shuttle Program Office beginning in 1981, just ahead of its inaugural launch. 🛰️

Remembering Frank Perez, '82 MA

The UHCL Alumni Association mourns the loss of Frank Perez, '82 MA, who passed away on May 12, 2025. After obtaining his MA in Information Systems, and while maintaining a 45 year long career in aerospace, Frank stayed involved as a loyal alumnus, volunteer, and donor, serving the Alumni Board and establishing the Frank Perez Scholarship Endowment. Frank was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2002.

Andrea Dunn, '02 MA

has accepted a new position with Pharmacy Compounding Centers of America as Communications and Channel Manager.
